STUIBENFALL

Stuibenfall Tirol's biggest waterfall rushing down from a height of 159 meters

You shouldn't miss out on the most breathtaking natural spectacle of the Ötztal valley - the Stuibenfall. It is the highest waterfall in Tirol. From a height of 159m masses of water rush down and create a fantastic play of colors in the sunshine. Some 9000 years ago a giant rockslide down from Köfels blocked the Horlachbach brook, giving origin to this breathtaking waterfall.

The trail along the Stuibenfall is marked by a fascinating Alpine flora. Tree roots, uncovered by nature and thousands of steps of hikers, make this Alpine trail especially charming. Fine water particles are sprinkled on the skin of all, who dare to get closer to the majestic water. The waterfall's origin can be found in the high Alpine Zwieselbach brook and the Larstig and Grastal glaciers. A wonderful experience for the whole family!

The Stuibenfall is illuminated every Wednesday from May to October. Additionally, guided lantern tours are available for free (advance booking at the Information Offices).
